A Critical Analysis of the Integration between Corpus Linguistics and Audio-visual Translation

Abstract

This research is based on the analysis of the integration between corpus linguistics and audiovisual translation. The aim of the research is to discuss and demonstrate the uses of corpus linguistics in “audiovisual translation”. This seeks to discover the growth of corpus related approaches and AVT which have the capability to take into possession the several dimensions of AV translation, the professional and technological obstacles and also the social matters affecting the translational activities. The paper will establish integration between these two. The paper will discuss the importance of this integration and the improvements or changes that this integration can bring for the future. This study reveals limits of using corpus linguistics into audiovisual translation and advantages of the integration between corpus linguistics and audiovisual translation. The paper describes various important aspects related to corpus in audiovisual translation.
