Tribal Educational Schemes and its Awareness among Tribal Youths

West Bengal, India is home to diverse tribal communities with unique customs, languages, and traditions. These communities often reside in rural areas, maintaining a close-knit social structure and preserving age-old practices. Education among these tribal communities has been a focal point for social upliftment, with efforts by the government and NGOs aiming to bridge educational disparities by establishing schools in remote areas, promoting indigenous languages, and incorporating tribal culture into the curriculum. They aim to bridge the educational gap by providing specialized programs tailored to the unique cultural, linguistic, and socio-economic needs of tribal youths. Raising awareness among tribal youths about these schemes is crucial, and efforts should be made through community outreach programs, workshops, and digital platforms.A study collected data from 100 tribal youths of Jhargram district through survey methods, finding that social media campaigns are the most impactful channel to engage tribal youths regarding educational schemes. To improve awareness, two predominant strategies should be prioritized: increasing social media presence and conducting more community-based programs. The primary goal of the West Bengal Tribal Development Department is to provide educational opportunities for tribal youths, emphasizing the importance of education as a fundamental avenue for socio-economic progress and individual empowerment, especially in marginalized communities.

Enhancing Writing Pedagogy: An Exploration of Metacognitive Awareness Raising Strategies on Creativity and Critical Thinking in Writing Courses

Research has highlighted the importance of metacognitive awareness raising in English classrooms, yet the role of this strategy on creativity and critical thinking levels of L2 learners in writing courses remains underexplored. Addressing this gap, the current study delved into the influence of metacognitive awareness raising strategy on EFL learners’ creativity and critical thinking levels while completing a writing course. To this end, a sample of 56 intermediate EFL learners from a private language institute in Tabriz, Iran, was selected based on the convenience sampling. Data collection tools included the Oxford quick placement test, creativity scale, and critical thinking questionnaire. Participants experienced two instructional approaches: metacognitive awareness instruction and traditional writing instruction. Analyzing the data using independent samples t-tests and Mann Whitney U test indicated that learners exposed to the metacognitive awareness raising strategy showcased superior outcomes in both creativity and critical thinking compared to their counterparts in the control group. Overall, the study underscores the benefits of metacognitive strategies to enhance EFL learners’ creativity and critical thinking levels as fundamental to writing skill. The pedagogical implications are discussed.

In addition, our research further emphasizes the extreme urge of human greed and possessiveness resulting in environmental consequences. Further, our research recommends examining literature related to the Anthropocene to improve our understanding of the connections between literature, environmental education, and sustainable practices. The paper is an intricate intersection of literature and the Anthropocene to augment our conception of the intricate interplay between literature and nature. The predominant intention of this research is to promote for the inclusion of this genre of literature in school education, diagnosing its ability to foster ecological alertness and inculcate a sagacity of obligation towards sustainable practices among students. This paper thus contributes valuable insights to the enduring discourse on the multidimensional associations amidst literature, humanity, and the environment in the Anthropocene era, with a explicit appeal to incorporate such literature into formal instructive curricula.

Oman’s Economic Diplomacy in Al Busaid Era

The paper aims to examine the new form of diplomacy adopted by his Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq which known as economic diplomacy. Diplomacy focuses on developing economic status of the country by having cooperation between political and economic institutions of the country. The paper is significant as it highlights an important pillar of Oman’s vision 2040, the vision that aim to diversify Oman’s economy instead of relying on oil as the major source of income in the country. The paper argues that Oman’s economic diplomacy is not a new trend in Oman’s foreign policy as Omanis used to practice it throughout the history, benefiting from the geographical location of Oman in Indian ocean. The paper highlights the significant role of this ocean in tracing the origin of economic diplomacy in Oman. The paper uses the qualitative approach in conducting the research and reaching its objectives. Secondary sources are used extensively in this paper. Big data Science in Astronomy for the Hunt for Earth Analogue as the current research embodies the rationale for such scientific data driven projects as far as the dystopian future of our planet earth is concerned. The research provides the conceptual framework for the various terminologies or jargons associated with exoplanet hunting or searching for the Earth’s analogue along with the challenges embedded in the procedure to carry out the project. The research emphasis mainly on exoplanet hunting using transit method of planet hunting deploys the data science and its underlined algorithms like the KNN algorithm to illustrate the process hunting or searching an analogous earth 2.0. The research work also successfully demonstrates based on the data modeling techniques the ways and means to differentiate between an actual data set against outliers or anomalous data. The research deploys research methods namely observations, experiments, document screening, empirical data and scientific illustration in forms of graphs to illustrate the underlying research concepts pertaining to Big Data in astronomical science as an intensive data driven field of science. The results and findings are synonymous to the hypothesis of the research that Astronomical Science has undergone a paradigm shift from a theory based field to more of an intensively data driven field of science in the current day and age of Big Data Era.

Audience perception of sports women in India cinema: A case study of ‘Dangal’

Cinema has played a pivotal role in both reflecting and influencing societal perceptions of women in India (Gupta, 2003). Traditional cultural norms and family dynamics have reinforced these inequalities, with women being under the influence of their parents before marriage and their husbands after marriage (Chakrapani & Kumar (eds.), 1994). These inequalities are further reflected in the media, including the Indian film industry, which has historically been male-dominated (Ganti, 2004). The current study makes an attempt to understand audience perception of sports women in the film and the role of cinema in creating awareness about unconventional sports in India. The study employs survey method in Berhampur University, Odisha through a structured questionnaire for the purpose. The study reveals the scope of cinema as a pedagogical tool to bridge in the knowledge gap among the youths. The film also helps in changing the perception towards unconventional sports as well as sports women.
